There are a multitiude of observations that we can learn about ourselves by observing our breath. Noticing the breath, its natural flow in and out, without manipulating its pattern is a good beginning in the development of yoga practice. Do certain circumstances or people cause you to stop breathing? Do you breath through your nose or mouth? Are you able to bring the breath down to the abdomen and take full breaths? If so, when do you find it easiest to breath correctly?
